It’s a great time for job placement at Austin Coding Academy! Tech in Austin is booming and at ACA we’re not only focused on giving our students the best possible coding education, but also to provide our students all of the skills necessary to be successful developers when they leave our program.

Here are six of our graduates who have landed or have already started in full-time developer roles in recent months! We couldn’t be more proud of the hard work that they’ve put in to get to this point. Check them out:

Israel Hernandez

Israel graduated from ACA’s C#/.NET track in June. He now works as a Junior Developer with Saxony Partners, a Management & Digital Consultancy Firm in Dallas, TX.

Laurie Hansson

Laurie is currently enrolled in ACA’s Full Stack Javascript track, and is set to graduate from the program in the coming weeks. She currently works as a User Experience and Interface Design Intern at The Riverbend Church.

Matt Huntsberry

Matt graduated from the Full Stack Javascript track at ACA in early 2018. After his graduation he was accepted into the Microsoft LEAP as a Software Design Engineer, a 10 month apprenticeship program. In November, Matt started in his new role as a Front End Developer at IBM.

Nathan Simmons

Nathan graduated from the Full Stack Javascript track with ACA in July of 2018. During November he accepted a position as an Associate Software Engineer with Malauzai Software.

Paul Mathis

Paul is set to graduate from ACA’s Full Stack Javascript track within the next couple of weeks. He has already accepted a position as a React Native Developer with The Helper Bees, an Austin-based startup.

Not only are our grads landing jobs, but we’re more committed than ever to make sure that every grad who leaves our program is job-ready. Our first ever Job Placement Course wrapped up a few weeks ago. The course is 4 weeks long and free to all graduates of our program. Led by Edsel Rivera, a Technical Recruiter at Dosh, the course covered everything from building a resume and LinkedIn presence to whiteboarding and technical interviews. You can learn more about the Job Placement course, which is now a permanent part of the ACA curriculum, here.
