What is JavaScript used for?

JavaScript (JS) is an object-oriented programming language that is used to provide interactivity to web pages.

It allows developers to create dynamic web pages, meaning the content on the page can be changed without rewriting any code.

For example:
A webpage whose time display changes throughout the day according to the time or a user updating their LinkedIn profile with new skills which updates their profile.

The opposite of a dynamic page is a static page. A static page is unchanging and looks the same every time you view it.
